Our Terms & Conditions (with no catches or smallprint)

 

·          The quotation assumes ease of access and parking adjacent to the house for loading and unloading.

 

·          An additional charge is added for premises with difficulties or apartments above the first floor.

 

·          The quotation is based on one person to load, unload and drive. Should the need arise (heavy bulky items etc) for a second person to assist with your move, please ensure a second person is available at both the collection and drop off destinations. Alternatively we can supply additional labour at an extra cost. However, any single trip which includes 2 vehicles will include a second person. 

 

Heavy Items :

 

 

Please inform us in advance of any heavy lifting required so we may make provisions which may be chargeable.

 

All our vehicles have a maximum weight capacity which will be detailed to you (the client) at the time of quiotation. It is a serious offence if we are discovered to be overweight -both in the UK & France. It is very unusual for an average load to exceed the weight limits of the vehicle, however, if a case arises where the driver feels that the vehicle may be overweight he is obliged to make you (the client) aware of the possible implications  which are: 

  1.  Time delays should he (the driver) be stopped by the authorities
  2. Any fine that may be payable

It is then the clients responsibilty to accept any delays in transit that may occur and to pay any subsequent  fines that are levied. Should the vehicle be deemed as seriously overweight by the driver, he reserves the right to refuse to transport a part of the load.

 

 

We do not disassemble or re-assemble any furniture or undertake any services such as the disconnection of a washing machine and/or lighting, unless pre arranged.

 

Waiting for keys at the new property may incur an additional charge.

 

Delays in transit

 

1.       Other than reason of our negligence, we will not be liable for delays in transit

2.       If through no fault of ours we are unable to deliver your goods, we will take them into store. The contract will then be fulfilled and any additional service(s) including storage and delivery will be at your expense.

 

 

 Important Notes:

 

 

  • We are unable to reserve removals slots for clients without receipt of a deposit
  • Your Removal Quotation is valid for a minimum period of 60 days
  • Balance must be paid via cheque or cash upon collection of goods. By pre-arrangement client may pay balance upon ARRIVAL at  delivery destination. However, this must be via CLEARED FUNDS.
  • We reserve the right  not to start unloading until we have received the remaining payment   

 

If you postpone or cancel this contract, we may charge according to how much notice is given:

  • More than 14 days before the removal was due to start: Deposit    

  • Less than 14 days but more than 8 days before the removal was due to start; 30% of the removal charge (If amount equates to less than the deposit then only the deposit will be lost)

  • Less than 8 days before the removal was due to start; 60% of the removal charge

  •  On the day before the move 100% of the removal charge
